Date Street - Closure Order

This morning officers attended an address on Date Street to execute a closure order.  This was in response to the house being used for drug offences.  This is only a temporary fix until a full closure order is put in place or the council take back their property.  Police worked in partnership with Southwark Council.  Officers were met with no resistance except for a little dog.  The dog was taken by Council Wardens who have made some checks on the ownership of the dog.  The dog was tagged and shown as stolen but with no ownership details.  The dog has now been placed with an elderly couple who had recently lost their own dog.  

The property has now been boarded up to prevent anyone else getting into the property.  We wish to keep this area a better place for you to live and work in.  If you have any information regarding crimes or anti-social behaviour, please contact us.
